Classic Pea Salad

Ingredients:

For the Salad:

4 cups frozen peas, thawed

8 slices turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled

½ medium red onion, diced

1½ cups cheddar cheese, cut into small cubes

For the Dressing:

½ cup sour cream

½ cup mayonnaise

1 tablespoon granulated sugar

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

½ teaspoon salt, plus more to taste

Directions:

Make the Dressing:

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the sour cream, mayonnaise, sugar, apple cider vinegar, and salt until smooth and creamy.

Assemble the Salad: 2. Add the thawed peas, crumbled turkey bacon, diced red onion, and cubed cheddar cheese into the bowl with the dressing. 3. Gently fold everything together until the peas and other ingredients are well coated.

Chill: 4. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let the flavors blend beautifully.

Serve: 5. Give it a gentle stir before serving, adjust seasoning if needed, and garnish with a little extra crispy turkey bacon if you like!
